Chlum Moldavite is a highly sought-after variety of moldavite, a rare natural glass formed approximately 14.8 million years ago when a meteorite struck the Earth. These exceptional specimens originate from the Chlum locality in the South Bohemian region of the Czech Republic, an area renowned among collectors for producing some of the most visually striking moldavite ever found.
Chlum moldavite is prized for its deep, bottle-green coloration and its distinctive surface textures, which range from deeply etched and sculptural to nearly smooth with fine, worm-like striations. When held to the light, many pieces reveal a translucent glow, highlighting their natural, otherworldly character. Rare forms such as delicate, thin “angel chime” pieces are especially coveted due to their fragility and beauty.
Often referred to as a stone of transformation and accelerated growth, moldavite is believed to support profound personal shifts, heightened awareness, and alignment with new paths. Chlum moldavite, in particular, is frequently chosen by those drawn to its intensity, depth, and unmistakable sense of movement and change. Each piece is entirely unique—shaped by cosmic force, time, and nature—making it as meaningful as it is rare.
